Welcome to posts for writers
The years since writing the draft of my first book in 2007 have been a steep learning curve. I started, like most people, totally ignorant about things relating to writing, publishers and marketing. I have learned many things since.
This part of my blog will share some of those things. Things that I have found helpful on my writing journey. My journey so far has included – self printing two volumes of poetry
– 2 non-fiction titles published through traditional publishers (one in UK and one in US)
– another non-fiction title written between the two others but not published.
– two practice novels (Biblical)
– I’m currently working on a Christian novel. That has been the steepest learning curve of all.
I am a follower of Jesus first. That colours all of my experience and decisions. It means that there is an extra dimension to my journey. If you are not a follower of Jesus, there will still be much to learn from these posts, but there will be a difference to someone blogging from a different worldview. Worldview is something we all have. Our way of seeing the world through the ‘glasses’ we ‘wear’ which have been influenced by culture, background, family, education …Mine won’t be atheistic, or Buddhist or Islamic or secular …I hope it will be profoundly soaked in the Biblical worldview.
