Grace in the Shadows – The Journey
I started writing fiction in 2013. You can read the fuller story to the publication of Grace in Strange Disguise (Book 1) here.
I originally intended to write a stand alone novel but towards the end of the editing process I began to have ideas for a sequel. Then the second editor shocked me by saying, “This first book in one and a half book.” It was hard to chop off the final third of the book but looking back, I’m glad I did. Much of that material is now part of book 2.
Having written one novel, I’d learned how to do the planning and I set aside time to write on Saturdays (since writing is not my main occupation). I kept track of the two main characters by using two different coloured cards on a bulletin board. In December 2017, I had a few weeks to do extra work on the book and so was able to complete the first draft. Then six months of edits including with the two professional editors I’d used on the previous books.

I’ve just finished reading ‘Grace in Strange Disguise’ and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s such a familiar story of family dysfunction, control and manipulation. Can’t wait to read Grace in the Shadows.
Do you know that ‘Grace in the shadows’ is on preorder and releases on the 31 July? (ebooks). The print books should be available very soon. I’ve uploaded the files to Createspace (for US/UK) and Ingram Spark so bookshops in other countries can order. In Australia, The ‘Wandering Bookseller’ has already ordered them and you can order print copies. https://wanderingbookseller.com.au/p/literature-fiction-poetry-grace-in-the-shadows?
Please review on Amazon (if you’re able), Goodreads. Thank you. Just 2-3 sentences about why you liked the book, what spiritual impact it made on you and who it might be suitable for. Thank you
